Rio Santos

Rio Santos is Northampton’s first ever youth poet laureate. A ninth-grade student at Northampton High School, Rio loves to learn and is passionate about social justice. Along with their younger sister, Rio divides their time between Hadley and Northampton. They have played the violin since first grade but have been writing poems for even longer. Their interests include astrophysics, fiction-writing, singing, songwriting, horseback riding, birds, reading, and digital drawing.
