Jeff Pitchell’s Legends Live On! featuring Texas Flood – with guests Tyrone Vaughan (son of Jimmie Vaughan and nephew of Stevie Ray Vaughan), Charmaine Neville (daughter of Charles Neville), and Claudette King (daughter of B.B. King).
Jeff Pitchell
Jeff Pitchell has been blistering the paint off nightclub walls around the New England area for decades and he is one of the hottest guitar slingers on the circuit, drawing comparisons to Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughn. An internationally acclaimed singer, songwriter, and guitarist, he won "best guitarist" in the State of CT when he was 15. He has shared the stage with dozens of greats, among them Gregg Allman, Dickey Betts, Warren Haynes, Derek Trucks, Buddy Guy, Joe Cocker, Johnny Winter, Bo Diddley, James Cotton, Phil Lesh, and Kenny Wayne Shepherd. His song “An Eye for an Eye” was recorded by British blues legend John Mayall.
Charmaine Neville
Musical talent runs deep in this third generation Neville. The daughter of the Neville Brothers' Charles Neville, Charmaine's vocals and her ability to connect with a crowd have made her a favorite among New Orleans Rhythm and Blues fans worldwide. Reviewers and fans report electrifying, aerobic, and explosive shows. Charmaine and the band mix the hypnotic with the dramatic. Charmaine herself has been described as a crowd magnet, a dynamo, versatile, vivacious, impressive. Her wit, rhythmic wizardry, spontaneity, and dramatic vocal range make for a riveting presentation.
Claudette King
Claudette King, dubbed "The Bluz Queen" is the youngest daughter of B. B. King and is a member of the Blues Hall of Fame. Claudette exudes a confidence that may be born of her struggle to own her legacy and at the same time carve out her own identity. Claudette grew up attending church and attended public school, far removed from the star-studded world of her father. Many of her classmates did not believe she was the daughter of B.B. King. “There was a high burden of proof for me to convince my classmates,” says King. That proof is in her music which will be on full display at this show.
Tyrone Vaughan
Born in Dallas and raised in Austin, guitarist Tyrone Vaughan is the son of Jimmie Vaughan, founder and guitarist of the Fabulous Thunderbirds, and nephew of legendary guitarist Stevie Ray Vaughan. Tyrone grew up in Austin immersed in the sounds that are the lifeblood of the Texas music mecca. Muddy Waters gave him his harmonica at an early age and his Uncle Stevie Ray Vaughan gave him his first two guitars. His sound immediately betrays his family’s blues guitar legacy.
