We are a student-led climate action group from Northampton High School, selected as 1 of the 10 public schools in Massachusetts to participate in the statewide educational program Youth Climate Solutions Challenge sponsored by MassEnergize, focused on addressing local environmental challenges. By partnering with municipal government and community organizations, we aim to better understand and reduce Northampton’s carbon footprint by spreading awareness for existing programs that lower household carbon emissions. The NHS Youth Climate Solutions Team is hosting a Climate Solutions Symposium to demonstrate how residents of the Northampton and Pioneer Valley can make their households energy-efficient and reduce the cost of their utility bills. It will feature MassSave®, Northampton's climate goals, renewable technologies for households, and other initiatives.

PARKING:

Please reserve spaces in the lot directly in front of BOMBYX for those with accessibility needs. General parking can be found nearby in the following locations.

Florence Community Center: Please use the parking lot behind the brick building to the right of Bombyx - the former Florence Grammar School. There are 66 spaces available and once the lot is full you can find additional spaces at the location below.

Sam's Convenience Store Lot: There are a limited number of spaces at 176 Pine Street - the lot next to Sam’s Convenience Store. Please be considerate and leave the spaces in front of the restaurants, Ascendance, and Sam’s open for their patrons.

On Street Parking: Parking is allowed in designated areas on Pine Street and along the surrounding side streets. Please follow posted signs and be kind to our neighbors - don't block driveways or park too close to them; remember not to park near fire hydrants so you don’t get towed.
