Culomba's Polyphony Fest is a four-day celebration of harmony singing traditions from around the world. Sunday afternoon's Closing Festival Concert will be a celebration of Polyphony, featuring Culomba, special musical guests, and the festival participants, who will have spend the weekend learning songs from many different singing traditions with Culomba (would you like to join the singing workshop? Join us by following this link and/or attend the opening concert!). Part of Culomba’s mission is to broaden listeners’ cultural horizons, and our workshops consistently engage and inspire listeners with songs from around the world. Join us for this powerful communal singing experience.
Culomba is a vocal sextet specializing in close harmony singing from many different global styles, including American folk traditions, music from Georgia, Corsica, and the Balkans, renaissance polyphony, and original compositions. For ten years, Culomba’s singers have toured together internationally, studied with masters of traditional music across Eastern Europe and the Mediterranean, and provided engaging educational experiences to high school, college, and community choirs. We are excited to celebrate our ten-year anniversary with a participatory singing weekend close to home.
