This workshop will give you a basic overview of Chinese 5 Element theory, including the meridian system & general correspondences to our physiological systems & 5 senses.

We will begin with a brief talk on the 5 elements (Water, Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal) & the concept of balance in Chinese medicine- bring a notebook for this part.

Next, we'll spend an hour on a guided physical journey through the 5 cycles of our being & body, unlocking new awareness & understanding through meditation, breath, visualization & movement.

Bring things to make yourself comfy/warm at the start/end, wear clothes you can move freely in, and a journal/notebook.

Be prepared to move to your level of comfort/ability- you might even build up a light sweat & some cardio if you choose.

Beginning with seated meditation, we will experience the impact of visualization on our physical bodies. Through a combination of stillness & movement, we'll bring additional attention & awareness to the energetics of our body through a series of activities, grounded in science & practicality.

The hour-long guided journey will conclude with a brief sound bath integration, followed by a review of the skills learned. We'll end with a Q&A on the material so you leave confident & ready to put your new skills into practice.

This workshop is physical & movement-based; as well as cerebral, intellectual, meditative & exploratory. It offers practical tools & skills to build & gently incorporate into daily life with the aim of supporting overall health, wellness & healing.
