John Genyo Sprague

John Genyo Sprague is an award-winning improvisational musician and performer, an authorized Zen teacher, and an independent, non-sectarian guide, counselor, and healer who works with individuals in all paths and faiths. As an intuitive musician on keyboards, percussion, flutes and voice – he has for decades created musical accompaniment for movement, contemplative listening, and ceremony, blending a wide range of influences. He also works with teenagers at North Star: Self-Directed Learning for Teens. John has an M.A. in World Religions and Creativity Studies from Vermont College. He is a member of Spiritual Directors International, and the Zen Peacemakers.
