Rachel F. Hirsch

GOLDEN BIRD – Rachel F. Hirsch (Golden Bird herself) has been delighting 0-5 year olds and their caregivers with original songs, stories, and imaginative adventures in New York City and the Pioneer Valley for many years. She is excited to bring her magical box of puppets and surprises, her ukulele and kazoo, and her high energy interactive storytelling experience to PIC Kids Fall Fest.

Rachel launched Golden Bird in 2016. A few years later, her passion for new play and musical development led her to co-found Play Incubation Collective in 2019. Additionally to her work with PIC and Golden Bird, Rachel is a voice-over artist, musician, and audiobook narrator (including many titles for kids and teens). Rachel has performed locally with PIC projects, in commercials and television, Northampton 24 hr Theater, Double Take Fringe and Youth Performance Festivals, WAM Theatre, and virtually with Chester and Silverthorne Theatre Companies. Previously, Rachel worked on new theatrical works in DC, NYC, and around the country and as a teaching artist with Spellbound Theater Company in Brooklyn, NY. You can find Golden Bird’s album of original songs for all-ages, Fly, wherever you listen to music.
