Stephen Katz

Lovers of cello music will find a whole new dimension to love in the music of cellist/composer/vocalist Stephen Katz. A conservatory-trained musician, he performs original cello compositions that merge the emotional resonance and refinement of Western Classical music with the roots of rhythm and improvisation.

Stephen has performed his compositions at Carnegie (Weill) Recital Hall and toured internationally as a soloist and chamber player. He has been featured on American Public Media national broadcasts of Performance Today and is a NEA grant recipient.
