Takumi Kato

Takumi Kato is an award-winning Japanese taiko performer and the founder of the family ensemble “Peaceful Forest.” He has received top honors at an international taiko competition in Japan and has performed for the Prime Minister of Japan and Their Majesties the Emperor and Empress.

Now based in the United States, he performs nationwide with his three children, bringing the explosive energy of Japanese taiko to audiences across the country. Since beginning their journey in 2022, Peaceful Forest has delivered over 600 performances in 41 states.

Their mission is to reach all 50 states with 1,000 performances—sharing rhythm, culture, and a message of peace through unforgettable live taiko experiences.
