Diverse cultures from around the globe have used this circled shaped drum to express their music in secular and sacred settings from millennia. Learn about this instrument's history and usage with master percussionist Fabio Pirozzolo. In this hour-long webinar, Fabio will introduce us to the different types of frame drums across different continents and cultures.

Fabio Pirozzolo is an Italian drummer, multi-percussionist and singer currently based in Boston. Originally from Terracina, Italy, he started his career as a folk percussionist, playing Italian frame drums tamburello and tammorra, in one of the most famous folk groups in his area. You may have seen him on the BOMBYX stage with Club D'Elf.

The last 10 minutes of the class will be reserved for answering questions.
