Cece Bell

Cecelia (Cece) Carolina Bell, born December 26, 1970, in Richmond, Virginia, is an American author, cartoonist, and illustrator. Most well known for her Newbery Honor Book and Will Eisner Comic Industry Award winning graphic novel El Deafo, Bell's work has appeared in The Atlantic, Vegetarian Times, Newsweek, the Los Angeles Times, Working Woman, Esquire and many other publications.

Cece Bell is also well known for her Geisel Honor Book Rabbit and Robot: The Sleepover, Rabbit and Robot and Ribbit, I Yam a Donkey!, Bee-Wigged, Itty Bitty, the Chick and Brain books, and the Sock Monkey series. She has also created books with her husband, Tom Angleberger, including Crankee Doodle and the Inspector Flytrap series.
