Procheta Mukherjee Olson was born in Calcutta, India, where she received her BA in English Literature from St. Xavier’s College. In 2007, she attended the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston to pursue a Post-Baccalaureate in Art soon after which, she received an MFA in Studio Arts from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Olson was one of the 2015-2016 Curatorial Fellows at the University Museum of Contemporary Art at UMass Amherst and a Graduate Fellow in the Institute of Curatorial Practice at Hampshire College. Her work has been exhibited at the University Museum of Contemporary Art, the Emily Dickinson Museum, A3 Gallery, Kelley Stelling Contemporary, and Gallery 263 among others. She currently lives and works in Western Massachusetts.
