Samson Oppenheim

Samson, a versatile musician, excels on the clarinet, alto saxophone, and recorder. He has studied under the mentorship of renowned multi-instrumentalist Jim Armenti. Active in the Easthampton High School concert and ELF Jazz bands, he has achieved recognition by qualifying for the Massachusetts Music Educators Association Western Senior District Jazz Band for two years. He performed in the UMass Honors Band, and participated in the 2023 Jazz In July Program at UMass where he had the pleasure of working with Jazz luminaries and professionals. Samson has been honored to perform at various events at Northampton’s Congregation B’nai Israel, showcasing his adaptability and connection to his audience. Samson has been performing regularly with the ever-vibrant Expandable Brass Band for the past two years.
