The Bombyx Brass Collective is a new project, inspired by the passion and dedication of area professional and amateur musicians, devoted to presenting quality music to diverse audiences. The 30-piece ensemble features fine brass and percussion players from throughout Western Massachusetts and plays a mix of musical genres from classical to jazz to pop. BBC members include current college music majors, active and retired music teachers, working professional musicians, and talented amateur musicians. Join Music Director, Ryan Caster and the entire ensemble for BBC’s concert, as they bring their musical vision to the BOMBYX stage.

Tickets to this event are on a sliding scale. Proceeds will be divided equally between the Brass Collective and Bombyx.

Bombyx Brass is most grateful to Dave Sporny - UMass Amherst Professor Emeritus and prolific trombonist, composer, arranger, and conductor. Mr. Sporny has generously provided the group with a few of his arrangements for brass ensemble and they are looking forward to performing them on this upcoming concert.
